In today’s society, animal welfare plays an increasingly essential role. Pets have become integral members of many families. Consequently, society increasingly recognizes the importance of ensuring their well-being. To achieve this, it is crucial to provide them with the necessary security, especially concerning a commonly overlooked danger: toxic plants. This thesis explores the plants most commonly associated with animal poisoning, providing a detailed description of their toxic effects. Its aim is to raise awareness among pet owners and animal health professionals about these potential hazards, for better prevention of animal poisoning.
