Résumé
The objective of this thesis is to provide a state-of-the-art overview of postoperative complications and their management in breast surgery. Breast and regional lymph node surgery are central elements in the management of early-stage breast cancer. It is, therefore, essential for surgeons involved in breast cancer care to have a comprehensive understanding of these complications, as they may impact adjuvant therapies. Additionally, it is crucial for oncologists and radiotherapists to comprehend all surgery-related complications to facilitate the development of the best therapeutic sequence during multidisciplinary meetings. The second part of this thesis will present the preliminary results of the BEAUTIFY trial, which is a feasibility study focused on monitoring postoperative complications through electronic Patient Reported Outcomes (ePROs). The study aims to improve the postoperative follow-up of patients undergoing oncological breast surgery.
