The aim of this report is to compare the different practices concerning cytomegalovirus screening during pregnancy in France, Belgium and the United Kingdom. Material and method: this study is a review of the literature. The studies and articles cited were published between 2000 and 2023, in French and English, and were freely accessible via search platforms.Results: studies in France and the United Kingdom are unanimous in not recommending screening, while Belgium offers a more nuanced opinion.Conclusion: systematic screening is not recommended, due to the lack of long-term experience with treatment and the absence of reliable prognostic markers. Belgium takes a more nuanced view, proposing a single pre-conception serology test.
