Résumé
As the prevalence of transgender minors has increased in recent years, caring for transgender patients has become a major public health issue. General practitioners, often their first point of contact, are met with difficulties to accompany this population. The aim of this thesis is to create an online training program focused on caring for transgender minors, and to evaluate its impact on the knowledge of medical interns. Materials and methods: this quantitative study was conducted through an e-learning program composed of six modules. Medical interns attending the Montpellier-Nîmes Faculty, from DES 1 to DES 3, were invited to participate between April and May 2024. A questionnaire with a maximum score of 20 was submitted before the training (Q1), immediately after (Q2), and one month later (Q3). Results: the results showed an increase in average scores by 5.14 points immediately after the training (p<0.001) and by 4.31 points one month later (p<0.001). Conclusion: there is a significant increase in the interns’ knowledge after the course. All participants expressed their satisfaction regarding the training and emphasized the importance of increasing awareness on caring for transgender minors in general practice.
