Résumé
In the context of psychosocial rehabilitation care, the practice of peer support, which has been professionalized over the last ten years in France, is one of the main medium of recovery. Peer support in mental health is based on the experience of people with psychological disorders to support other concerned people. In the context of our work, we are interested in the positioning of these professionals with regard to medications used in psychiatry. First, we describe the context of the management of mental disorders and peer support in France. Then, we present the study of peer-help practice, particularly on the themes of peer-support trainings, knowledges and professional experiments. To answer our hypothesis, we developed a questionnaire for peer workers which allowed us to collect the answers of 142 participants. The results show that peer workers address medication in their professional practice and that their trainings facilitate exchanges on these subjects. Our work identifies areas for improvement, including the scope of practice and missions of peer workers. As a peer worker in mental health and a pharmacist, the pharmaceutical practice is raised to facilitate the support of the concerned persons. In this context, the pharmacist can be seen as a facilitator for the concerned person, through the information that he can transmit and his ability to communicate recovery tools.
