Résumé
Mastery of language comprehension is decisive in the development of each individual. Studies on the development of language in adolescence and adulthood are still few, especially concerning oral comprehension. This observation does not necessarily make it possible to apprehend the reality of the impact of language reception disorders on the quality of the progress of schooling and then of professional life. The speech therapist must play a central role in the prevention and assessment of these specific receptive disorders. The aim of this study is to formulate hypotheses, to attempt to verify them and to propose some possible answers while recalling the importance of screening, assessment and diagnosis of a possible oral language comprehension disorder in the context of professional integration. The receptive side is examined by a test of syntactic comprehension from a screening tool as well as by a test assessing morphosyntactic comprehension of complex and multiple statements. The data collected allow us to highlight a certain frequency of comprehension disorders in our panel (of 30 individuals with gender parity) compared to the so-called reference population. We will consider how these difficulties, which have generally not been previously diagnosed, may compromise the chances of professional integration for this population.
