This thesis delves into four critical endocrine emergencies: pituitary apoplexy, thyroid storm, adrenal crisis, and hypercalcemic crisis. While these pathologies are rare, their severity demands a robust understanding. As such, a solid foundation of knowledge is essential, as it will undoubtedly be put to the test. For each of the aforementioned pathologies, we will explore: • anatomical and physiological reminders, a concise review to reinforce fundamental concepts. • Symptomatology: recognizing the clinical signs that warrant urgent attention. • Possible etiologies: unraveling the underlying causes. • Diagnostic and diagnostic tools: equipping clinicians with effective assessment methods. • Therapeutic management: strategies for immediate intervention and longterm care. By comprehensively addressing these topics, we aim to equip healthcare professionals with the necessary tools to navigate these high-stakes scenarios effectively.
