Résumé
The pharmacy profession has evolved significantly over the years, especially since the adoption of the "Hospital, Patients, Health and Territories" law (HPST law) in 2009, which has expanded the role of community pharmacists. Now, pharmacists play a key role in prevention, screening, and therapeutic education, becoming essential players in the healthcare journey and public health. The importance of the evolution of the pharmacist's role is particularly evident in rural areas, where healthcare provision is limited. A field study revealed that village pharmacists are engaged in adopting these new missions, with active participation in vaccination, screening, and teleconsultation. However, they face challenges that require additional attention and resources for their full potential to be realized.
