Résumé
The Covid crisis of 2019 and the war in Ukraine have had a negative impact on the general population. The student population has also been impacted, in addition to the management of their studies and the care of patients. However, the care of a child in the middle of learning remains delicate: a situation of discomfort or even anxiety can develop for the student as well as for the child and his parents. One of the current problems is the increase in the number of practitioners who refuse to take care of children and sometimes systematically refer young patients to the University Hospitals, which find themselves overwhelmed by the excessive demand. We must therefore counter this phenomenon by acting on students in training. The objective of this thesis is to assess the situation of students in pediatric dentistry and to propose avenues of reflection applicable in the context of dentistry studies. To do this, an inventory of the presence of stress among dentistry students and its repercussions will be made. Then the care of children in the wheelchair will be discussed with the elements that can help in this care; The situation of a disability will also be developed. To then present solutions applicable to the different levels; the child and his environment, the student, initial training and teaching. Dental care for children is therefore a priority: a serene environment that promotes a positive attitude of care must be put in place at each session. Thus, the renunciation of dental care will be reduced. For the student, the benefits would be a gain in confidence, technical and psychological mastery. To cope with this stress, strategies exist that can be applied to students and children. The arrival of new technologies such as the use of virtual reality seems to bring a certain benefit to dental care.
