Résumé
Being an certified operating room nurse requires both technical and relational skills in order to place the patient at the centre of care. The use of conversational hypnosis by certified operating room nurses is on the increase, particularly during local anesthesia, but this therapeutic communication technique requires specific training. Trained in conversational hypnosis, certified operating room nurse adapts to the patient, the surgical team and their environment. This method enables them to guide patients to care by their selfes by drawing on their own resources. Informed by the concept of adjustment defined in the theoretical framework, data collection was carried out through look-alike training interviewes. The adjustment activity was analysed according to the model proposed by Eric Saillot. The study is showing that the certified operating room nurse mainly favours intersubjective adjustments, illustrating multidisciplinary interactions and highlighting the patient-caregiver relationship. Adjustment through conversational hypnosis contributes to professional fulfilment.
