Résumé
Thepurposeof this studyis to understand how general practitioners (GPs)treat adult insomnia through Non-Drug Interventions(NDIs), by exploring their practice. We used a qualitative method with semi-directive individual interviews with 10GPs from Languedoc-Roussillon. By means of a thematic analysis and obtained a "thematic tree" representingNDIs. This study shows that the main intervention used by GPs foradult insomnia is sleep hygiene education because it is an easy, effective and more accessible tool than other NDIs. On the other hand, the non-drug management ofinsomnia seems to present difficulties for most of the practitioners. This study could therefore lead tostrategies tofacilitate themanagement ofinsomnia forGPs.
