Résumé
Ankle sprain is a frequently incurred injury, consensus on diagnosis and treatment of ankle sprains exist but to our knowledge none regarding return to sport after an ankle injury. This transversal observational study aims to make an inventory on the management of return to sport after an ankle sprain by general practitioners of Hérault. They were interviewed using a online questionnaire. 68 General Practitioners answered the questionnaire. The management of an ankle sprain seems to be dealt by most of the general practitioners interviewed. There is however a great variability in terms of return to sports due to a lack of consensus. Dispite a diversified practice regarding return to sport, ankle sprain reccurency rates in our study are comparable to current publications. It would seem that a multidisciplinary guide or consensus would allow to coalesce a better decision to return to sport.
