In France, vaccine hesitancy has been growing in a new legislative context leading to 11 mandatory vaccines for children born after 1st of January 2018. Additionally, COVID-19 sanitary crisis since 2019 and sanitary restrictions had a bad impact on vaccine information and hesitancy. First section is dedicated to vaccination specificities and its organization in France. Next section focused on two main objects. It defines evolution and main factors of vaccine hesitancy and intends to explain social media as a place for antivaccine activism. Last section describes the evolution of antivaccine communication strategies during COVID-19 crisis and suggested improvement for public health campaign on social media. COVID-19 crisis led to an increase of society digitalization and use of social media as a source of information. In parallel, antivaccine activists spread widely fake news online. It is now necessary to support general population in addressing and assessing health information available online. Healthcare professionals have a leading role to play in order to provide proper and appropriate information.
