We live in an era where all sectors of human activity must adapt in response to the ubiquity of information technology and the exponential growth of basic research. The present document describes, through the analysis of the business models of six young pharmaceutical research and development (R&D) companies, the evolution of healthcare as a consequence of the convergence of science and technology phenomenon.
