Résumé
Each word has a very specific meaning and our choice of word is what allow us to understand and be understood in society. Essential to verbal communication, the semantic field can be affected at any age. Throughout this analysis, we compared two samples of population facing speech disorders: an adult population and a children population. More precisely, our subjects are having trouble accessing the semantic field. The main difference between our samples is the reason the troubles occurred. On the one hand, we studied adults with acquired disorders resulting of a stroke, head trauma or brain tumor. On the other hand, we selected children facing developmental speech disorders. Therefore, we recruited 31 adults with aphasia and 40 children with a specific oral communication trouble. We invited the subjects to perform several tests, to analyze how they access the semantic field under specific modalities. The tests results comparison will allow us to approach two different populations, possibly with similar difficulties accessing the semantic field. As a result, we will be able to study the organization and the development of lexicon access, in order to offer a more adapted care and treatment to these two populations of patients.
