Résumé
Subarachnoid hemorrhage is a rare but severe disease, that has motor, psychologic et cognitive consequences. One of these is anxiety, that affects one third of patients, even after ten years. The lack of information about this disease may increase this anxiety. The objective of this study is to create a document on subarachnoid hemorrhage, destined to patients after they return home. Methods: it is a monocentric qualitative study, following an HAS methodology, that has the objective to determine the patients needs. It is divided into two parts: one interview of patients that have been admitted for an aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage in the CHU of Montpellier, and the results of a focus group (composed of a neurosurgeon, an anesthesiologist, a physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor, and a radiologist). Results: 10 patients have been included, and 3 of them were accompanied by a caregiver. Several themes have been identified from the first investigation. Then they have been discussed and reorganized by the focus group. The themes are: what is a subarachnoid hemorrhage, the risk of recurrence, heredity, physical activities, cognitive and behavioral consequences, going back to work, and information provided to family. For two themes (what is a subarachnoid hemorrhage and heridity), the content has already been written, corrected by experts and then used to create an illustrated web page.
