Résumé
Today, type 2 diabetes is an expanding pandemic on a global scale and more particularly in France. This disease causes serious long-term complications. To avoid them, there are different treatments to prevent hyperglycemia and therefore complications. Drug treatments present a major economic challenge in France. Just like medications and diet, physical activity is essential in the management of diabetes. It allows the maintenance of blood sugar levels, the reduction of complications, and the taking of iatrogenic treatment. This thesis focuses on the effect of physical activity in the management of type 2 diabetes. It explores how exercise can help control blood sugar, improve insulin sensitivity and reduce diabetes-related complications. The different types of exercise, their intensity and optimal duration are also studied. The objective is to provide practical recommendations according to the cases and the objectives of patients for the integration of physical activity in the treatment of type 2 diabetes.
