Objective: explore the experiences of practice of analgesia in mountain trauma.Secondary objective: identify the expectations and perspectives raised by penthrox.Method: qualitative study by semi-structured interviews with 12 general practitioners recruited from the Médecins de Montagne association. Data collection was carried out using an interview guide. The verbatims were studied according to a thematic phenomenological analysis. Results: cohesion of the know-how between doctors, and with the participants of the first aid chain, and the coordination of the acts of care, appear essential. During these procedures, the medicinal means, which allow them to achieve multimodal sedation analgesia, satisfy them. Some practices, such as psycho-behavioral pain assessment and anxiety disorder, are heterogeneous. The time to first analgesia is an unanimous problem. The interest of ALRs is unequivocal, but they remain too little protocolized. Finally, physicians stress the importance of the caregiver/patient relationship, and seem interested in patient-centered non-drug therapies, such as conversational hypnosis. Conclusion: recommendations specific to trauma could harmonize certain still heterogeneous practices. Dedicated analgesia delegation protocols for trackers, including penthrox, could allow earlier analgesia. The relational dimension is central, and conversational therapies centered on the patient could improve analgesia practices in trauma.
