Résumé

Personne âgée Évaluation gériatrique standardisée Autonome-Prévention Nutrition Vieillissement Fragilité
Life expectancy is 78.4 years for men, 84.8 years for women. Aging is often accompanied by chronic pathologies which, through the wear and tear of time, sometimes suggest a state of fragility. This testifies to a functional decline that can be physical, cognitive but also sensory, gradually evolving towards the loss of autonomy. In recent years, we have been talking about “aging well”, “successful aging” or “healthy aging”. We present a point of view on the meanings and models of “aging well”. Thus, it appears that the content of the concept varies according to the cultural context, the perspective of the actors and according to the approaches. The aim is to strengthen the skills of the elderly to prolong their autonomy and support health and quality of life at home for as long as possible. Aging well in your head, in your body and with others are the themes addressed to advance in age serenely, without forgetting Aging well at home. Practical recommendations and advice encourage you to eat well and move, keep your brain alert, but also to think about yourself, share and stay connected. Practical information, tips and the words of health professionals address – in a transversal way – the social and intergenerational bond, cognitive functions, diet, physical activity, sharing with others or even health prevention and invite you to take the time to think about yourself.
