Résumé
⅓ of men and ¼ of women are at risk of developing cancer during their lifetime, and today, most treatments are carried out at home. In this context, pharmacists are becoming essential actors in the medical and psychological monitoring of cancer patients. However, new drug treatments are increasingly complex, evolving rapidly, and are complemented by crucial supportive care for patient management and quality of life. Therefore, pharmacists need to undergo continuous training regarding new treatments, side effects, and patient support.Laboratories, especially in dermocosmetics, play a crucial role in the training of pharmacists for the care of cancer patients. As cancer management evolves, these laboratories develop solutions aimed at improving the well-being and quality of life of patients by using products specifically designed for skin sensitized by treatments. This dermocosmetic care, integrated with supportive treatments, alleviates side effects, helps conceal undesirable marks on the skin, and aims to improve treatment adherence and boost patients' self-confidence.La Roche-Posay of the L’Oréal group seeks to establish a robust partnership with healthcare professionals and patient associations to better understand and address the evolving needs of patients due to new treatments. To achieve this, La Roche-Posay supports pharmacists in implementing this care at the pharmacy. The objective of this approach is to provide increasingly integrative, diversified, and tailored support.
