Résumé
Antibiotics are a major resource in medicine. In the pediatric population, it’s one of the most prescribed pharmacological classes. In the current context of antibiotic resistance, the choice of the antibiotic is important and is often based on off-label use. Pharmacokinetic studies predict the evolution of the drug by ensuring clinical efficacy and safety. Pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic relationships ensure the link between doses and expected effects. An analysis of the characteristics of four antibiotics of interest is described in the last part.
