Résumé
The AIDS epidemic has turned our societies upside down, creating a before and an after, with a collective trauma and a profound transformation of our landmarks. After several years without any treatment options, progress gradually arrived, and accumulated until it transformed what was a fatal disease in almost 100% of cases into a chronic disease "almost" like any other. First, we will describe these 40 years of therapeutic progress. And in a second step we will illustrate the different levels of professional relations between the pharmaceutical industry and caregivers throughout the history of this HIV epidemic.
