Abstract
In this thesis, we develop a method for analyzing a scientific mediation activity by creating specific theoretical and methodological tools. Our work is based on the initiative “The Science of Superheroes”, a scientific mediation workshop. Through the lens of pop culture, particularly superheroes, comics, and science fiction, this workshop aims to raise awareness among teenagers about environmental disasters. Through this project, we put Complexity theory to the test to untangle what constitutes scientific knowledge in a mediation activity, while considering the various dimensions, challenges, themes, and media involved.
