Résumé
Chirality is a crucial factor in molecular recognition processes in biological systems. While a wide range of chiral ligands able to generate enantiopure compounds have been developed, asymmetric biocatalysis, which relies on stereoselective, energy-efficient and environmentally friendly processes, has made major advances in recent years. In this context, our group has focused on the development of a series of highly enantioselective transformations based on the chirality transfer from the DNA double helix. Similarly, drawing inspiration from natural photosynthesis, photocatalyzed reactions have experienced rapid growth in recent years, and have found application in a variety of chemical transformations. In continuation of our work, we decided to synthesize modified DNA functionalized with an Ir(III) photocatalyst. We will present the synthesis of these novel photoDNAzymes and their application in enantioselective photocatalysis. Based on the same concept of covalently anchored photocatalysts within oligonucleotides, we have designed a modular photocatalytic system driven by the hybridization properties of DNA. This project aims to extend the applications of these new photoDNAzymes over enantioselective catalysis, whose development will be presented.
