Abstract
This research deals with the synthesis and characterisation of titanium oxides with high surface area and pore size in the range of mesopores. After a critical analysis of state of art, we selected different synthesis procedure in order to structure titanium oxide. Mesoporous materials were obtained with : cationic and non-ionic surfactants as structure directing agents, sol-gel process in the presence of porogen (urea) and by coating the surface of SBA-15 materials by titania monolayer. Titanium oxides with surfaces areas from 200 to 400 m²/g and with pore size from 60 to 140 Å were obtained. They were then treated by phosphonic acids with either basic function (guanidine) or hydrophobic function (alkyl chain C8). These hybrid materials can be used for heterogeneous basic catalysis.
