Résumé
Modelling and numerical simulation of non smooth mechanical systems lead to algebraic problems similar to the linear complementary problem. A library of non smooth solvers has been implemented and tested on problems arising from non smooth mechanics, within the numerical platform of European project SICONOS. When the size of the problem increases, a computing strategy of the multilevel domain decomposition type has been extended herein to a particular discrete medium : tridimensional tensegrity structures, for which the non smoothness is diffuse over the entire structure. The applications deal with quasi-static and dynamical simulations of the behavior off such structures. This work was funded by the Europeean project SICONOS (SImulation and COntrol of NOnsmooth dynamical Systems, european project nIST2001-37172).
