Abstract This research organises the observation about teaching sessions of reading short literature text for pupils. The aim is to study the teacher's ways of teaching. How they fit with French and literature subjects, how they implement the institutional instructions and how they jointly work with pupils ? Can we observe some constants to be use to teaching training? We compare four experienced teachers teaching during a single reading session of the short story Archimémé of author B. Friot. This research aims at structure methodological conception that combines didactic and ergonomic approaches with analysis tools as scenario and traditional tasks in literary teaching in primary school. She establishes observation rooting with keys of understanding at the level of macro and micro methods. This research collects also teacher's speeches about the way of teaching the reading of literary text and how they integrate to a methodological matrix. We test out to spot professional knowledge about ordinary teaching practices to transpose for didactic research and for working out recourses of professional formation.
