Abstract
Integrated Optics is a promising technique for mass production of optical circuits for telecommunications and sensor applications.
Sol-Gel Technology has been proved to be efficient. A new hybrid material of epoxy type has been developed in order to simplify synthesis and improve performance such as adhesion.
This work is aimed to develop a new UV Laser setup in an epoxy layer and the definition of the associated protocol. This local polymerization process is a promising alternative to the conventional mask lithography techniques.
This new setup uses a pulsed UV Laser working at a low wavelength to get better resolutionand stronger polymerization.
This work has shown the feasibility of complex circuits, WDM multiplexer type, at a low cost writing process. We have fabricated the first prototypes of circuits dedicated to the multiple selection of wavelengths for spectral optical CDMA coding.
