Abstract
In France, the building sector is responsible for 46% of final energy consumption and 25% of greenhouse gas emissions. France is committed to reducing final energy consumption by 2050 through extensive energy renovation, the deployment of technologies that promote energy efficiency and low- carbon energy sources for heating and hot water production, and the widespread use of solutions to control electricity consumption.ENERGY-EFFICIENT building's feedback highlights the difference in energy consumption between predictions and on-site measurements, as well as overheating in summer. According to the scientific community, although multiple factors can explain these differences, the occupant seems to be the most influential factor through his actions on the indoor temperature set point and the management of shutters and openings. The aim of this study is analyzing the impact of the real individual behavior on an experimental building by evaluating the thermal comfort and the energy performance of the energy consuming and producing equipment’s installed in the building. The object of study is an experimental building of 20 m² located within the IUT of Nîmes, strongly instrumented and equipped with an electro solar tank, a reversible water-air heat pump, a double flow controlled mechanical ventilation and six photovoltaic panels. Several techniques and protocols are used to control the equipment and acquire data. The different instrumentation and acquisition systems allow the building’s energetic characterization in its globality and at the level of each equipment. The energy performances of the air-water heat pump, double flow mechanical ventilation, solar storage tank and photovoltaic installation are evaluated monthly and compared with those given by the manufacturers. The analysis of the building’s energy consumption is carried out over the full year 2020 under local climatic conditions acquired by a weather station installed on site and on the behavior actions of interior temperature set point and shutters management. Weekly energy balances are made based on simulated scenarios of user behavior expert or counterproductive. The building dynamic thermal simulations undertaken by the Pleiades tool, validated by the in-situ analyses, made it possible to compare the conventional scenarios of the RT 2012 with the real scenarios both meteorological and user behavioral on the building’s annual energy consumption.
