Résumé
A new type of internationalized firm has recently come to light in the field of international entrepreneurship: Born Again Global firms. These firms are characterized by sudden and rapid internationalization after exercising their activity on the domestic market alone. They seem to combine elements of both traditional theories of internationalization with other elements from the Born Global model. In this article, the authors ask questions regarding the relevance of the definition and terminology used to deal with this type of firm. By cross-referencing the results of the two main articles on this subject with the literature on internationalization, they show the need to take into account the considerable diversity to be found in Born Again Global firms. Finally, they propose a new definition for international entrepreneurship that combines the two principles found in the literature and extends the phenomenon to the promotion of products that already exist, and not just to the creation of new products or services.
