Résumé
This paper analyzes the conservative backlash against the LGBTQ+ community in the US. Indeed, the once pro-LGBT candidate Donald Trump has now taken a more radical and conservative approach to what he considers an “ideology” that threatens the well-being of the Nation, and especially of its political and traditional institutions. This presentation scrutinizes the decisions and restrictions taken at the State level before dissecting how these relate or lead to official policies of the new Trump administration that restrict LGBTQ+ rights, only to conclude on the future challenges raised by these regulations, and the resistance and future of queer people in the US.
