Résumé
Impedance Spectroscopy is a powerful technique used to study the electrical properties of materials and physical characteristics of systems across a wide frequency range. To analyze these impedance measurements, it is necessary to use models able to describe the various phenomena of the system under study. In this work, some methods that are useful for a thorough study of impedance measurements are presented. The need is then to move from an impedance curve to the time constants hidden in the same curve. The first method is to use Equivalent Electrical Circuits (EEC) model like the Voigt circuit, also called Foster circuit. These models meet our needs as they can be simulated quickly and also are able to describe various electrochemical phenomena. The second method used by electrochemists, is the Distribution of Relaxation Times (DRT). The objective of this method is to provide a detailed and comprehensive analysis of the relaxation processes within an electrochemical system. In the present work, these two methods will be applied on impedance measurements of the Ferri-Ferrocyanide/Pt interface in order to compare and link the obtained results.
