Résumé
The Au mineralization of the Cevennes area is space- and time-related to granite emplacement during Carboniferous extension (Mont-Lozere-Borne massifs). Barren siliceous fluids first percolated through the metamorphic basement using Hercynian thrust planes reworked as normal faults. Some of these faults then changed into strike-slip faults and were used as drains by the Au-As-Sb-rich fluids.
