FOREST ECOSYSTEM LIDAR SPACEBORNE VEGETATION LIDAR SATELLITE SYSTEME D'INFORMATION GEOGRAPHIQUE FORET SUSTAINABLE MANAGEMENT VERY HIGH SPATIAL RESOLUTION INDICE DE VEGETATION GESTION DURABLE LASER TRES HAUTE RESOLUTION SPATIALE GEOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION SYSTEMS FORESTS LASERS
After a brief presentation of the interest of spatial remote sensing for broad scale forest monitoring, the potential of lidar technology to characterize and monitor forest ecosystems is presented. Then the STEM-LEAF project, developed to tackle pending issues to optimize a spaceborne vegetation lidar system is presented.
