Résumé
An introduction to the linear response theory will first allow defining the concepts of susceptibility, fluctuation spectrum, and auto-correlation function. Theses quantities will then be related to X-rays, neutrons, and light scattering intensities. Infrared absorption will also be treated. The specificities of each of these techniques will finally be highlighted through few examples taken form solids and liquids.
