Résumé
In this paper, we propose to measure responses of handheld RF transceivers, operating in a same band, to the third order intermodulation distortion called IM_{3} . Two test methods are proposed. Both of them consist in measuring the IM_{3} responses in a reflected way. In a conducted mode the incident signal is applied directly to the antenna port, whereas in a radiated mode RF devices are illuminated inside a Transverse Electromagnetic (TEM) cell. The intermodulation distortion of a large panel of handheld RF transceivers can then be studied. These nonlinear responses obtained with the two test methods can be compared, and can enriched a database useful whether in the context of susceptibility characterization of RF devices or RF target detection.
