Résumé
Although drones have benne widely studied in the field on flight control, their aerodynamic behavior is yet to be completely understood. Recently, some studies using RANS and LES models have been realized and they tend to rely on scanned geometries of commercial propellers. In this paper a better understanding of how a drone propeller behaves in hover is studied using a fully described airfoil and propeller. An hybrid RANS/LES and a full LES computations are described and compared to understand the physics of flight.
