Résumé
The term "abstract marker" refers to the first element in a set of compound nouns that convey abstract concepts in ancient Egyptian. Linguistically salient, these lexical formations can serve as prisms through which connections within the ancient Egyptian documentation come into focus. This communication presents results from my PhD dissertation, which shed light on aspects of the Pyramid Texts and Coffin Texts corpora through these subtle yet effective lenses.
