Résumé
The EU strategy on sustainable food systems is based on 11 FOOD2030 actions and novel Partnerships of public, private, philanthropic, and academic actors, connecting complex food systems locally and globally. Hereby, new knowledge in the area of food science and technology (FST) is needed to balance between our planetary and societal boundaries, like alternative proteins and food waste reduction. Novel FST insights will allow reaching climate-biodiversity neutral food practices efficiently (re-)utilizing resources. It will reinforce the social value of culturally diverse, healthy, diets and guarantee fair food prices and jobs, thanks to intelligent and targeted sustainable processes.
