LES results are reported for the flow created by an infinite effusion plate, with staggered holes inclined at an angle of 30 deg to the main flow. Two original methods are proposed to generate the flow in a periodic configuration. Results for mean velocity and velocity fluctuations are compared with measurements made on a large-scale isothermal test rig.
