Résumé
The aim of this paper is to present a descriptive approach of piezometric recession analysis. Inspired by the use of recession curves to describe hydrodynamic mechanisms at the karstic system scale (Mangin, 1970, 1975), a model based on the Toricelli's law is applied on the one hand to determine the hydrodynamic functioning in the vicinity of boreholes and on the other hand to understand the hydrodynamic relationships between different boreholes and karstic springs. In this way, it makes it possible for each borehole to characterize the medium and his drainage ability by considering some geometric and hydrodynamic parameters. This method is applied to a French karstic region called "Le Causse d'Aumelas" near Montpellier.
