Résumé
The article presents the design of a new type of concentrated winding known as a quarter winding, which has been developed in our laboratory. This winding configuration has previously been employed in land-based electric propulsion and aeronautical applications. The motor under study is a low-power surface permanent magnet synchronous motor intended for leisure marine applications. The winding design for this specific application utilizes cylindrical bars to optimize the filling coefficient of the winding, the volume of the winding heads, and the overall design of the winding. Following an introduction, the article provides a presentation of the winding and its principles. It also describes an electromagnetic and thermal finite element study conducted to validate the analytical dimensioning. Finally, the article presents the prototype and experimental results obtained.
