Résumé
While parasitic and bacterial diseases have decimated human being over the last two millennia, we are facing to dramatic multiplication of viral infections that have led to huge outbreaks and even pandemics since the beginning of the 20th century. However, these new diseases that affect human populations around the world all have an animal origin, some from wildlife, others from domestic animals. This particularity therefore requires the implementation of new approaches in prediction and prevention to stop this worrying phenomenon. This presentation provides an overview of the situation.
