Résumé
In order to understand the functional role of Adh in grapevine, transformants with various expression levels of Adh were obtained and analysed. Effect of changes in Adh expression was investigated on the response to stress and on the content of secondary metabolites in leaves. Compared to controls, grapevine plants overexpressing Adh displayed enhanced levels in ABA content and in bound volatile levels. The results presented here show for the first time that some link could exist between Adh and bound volatiles, in particular those related to ABA.
