A laboratory experiment for a class of 30 students was developed and made available over the Internet. Only free software and low-cost hardware were used for this purpose. Including the computer itself and a camera to continuously image the system, the overall price was less than $500. The laboratory experiment has been tested primarily for the teaching of the psychrometric properties of humid air.
