Résumé
Balancing production and demand of energy is themain challenge to integrate renewable energy sources (RES) inmicro-grid (MG) systems. However, the variability and theuncertainty nature of the production and the consumption makethe system more difficult to control. In fact, weather conditionsinfluence on the production of renewable energy sources whileoccupancy influences on the power consumption. Therefore, thedevelopment of accurate short term forecasts are needed for aseamless integration of RES (e.g. photovoltaic system, windturbine) together with the traditional electrical grid in MGsystems. This paper presents a forecasting model for predictingthe power production and consumption in MG systems togetherwith the battery state of charge (SoC). A control strategy is thenimplemented to balance the Demand/Response by taking intoaccount the forecasted and real-time values. Based on the datacollected from a real MG system, simulation results arepresented to show the effectiveness of power forecasting for MGcontrol.
