Abstract
Metschnikowia pulcherrima is a yeast species frequently isolated from fruits. It is of great interest for the protection of fruits against fungalpathogens, or also for wine making. Several species have been described as new species close to M. pulcherrima, and Sipiczski (2022)1 proposed recently to merge 9 of them in a single species when reanalysing D1D2, ACT1 and RPB2 barcodes.In this poster, we present new sequencing data of 56 M. pulcherrima strains and 7 type strains genome sequences, and the results of different analysis that provide a more solid basis to the delineation of species related to M. pulcherrima.
