Résumé
Persistent, Mobile and Toxic (PMT) substances are emerging contaminants of concern due to their resistance to degradation, high mobility, and persistence in aquatic environments. These properties allow them to reach and remain in groundwater, surface water, and drinking water (Fig. 1), posing potential risks to human health. In response, the EU has classified PMT and vPvM substances as hazard classes under the CLP Regulation. The PMTfocus roject aims to investigate the presence and behavior of PMTs across diverse water bodies, from protected areas to urban and industrial sites, providing insights into their environmental distribution and exposure potential.
