Abstract
Dung beetles play an important role in soil function and nutrient cycling where dung is present, with cascading effects on plant productivity in grazed ecosystems. Previous work suggests that dung beetle effects vary across guilds due to differences in feeding and burrowing activity, but few studies have investigated within-guild variation and impacts of different beetle species on soil processes.
