Résumé
Herein, we discuss the rational synthesis of monodisperse sub-10 nm metallic nanoparticles (NPs) of Copper (Cu), Tin (Sn) and Gallium (Ga) that are highly resistant to surface oxidation. Interestingly, the fascinating properties imposed by the nano-confinement at both liquid (for Ga and Sn) and solid (for Cu) states, little known so far, are studied under the same conditions. A special attention is equally paid to structural, morphological and chemical modifications induced by the presence of a support material, γ-Al2O3 will be used as a model support [2]. These results would certainly enrich the knowledge of several scientific communities including catalysis, electronic and optics on the relationship between the physic-chemical characteristics of size-controlled non-noble metals and their subsequent performances.
